Gettin' Married!

Its crazy to think that this coming December will mark 6 years that Alison and I have been dating! Even more crazy is that next Sunday will mark 1 year since I proposed to her under a firework filled sky and also the day we both will say "I do" and become Mr and Mrs Verde (being called that is gonna take some getting used to :P)

We are both SO excited! Our photographer even jokingly told me "Your such a bride" after I posted a countdown to the wedding on Facebook. But we are also both pretty busy getting ready for the big day. I am working my way slowly through a long 'to-do' list as well as trying to get a wedding edited and delivered to a client before our wedding.

To counter balance the stress and insanity that is the week before a wedding, we also have a lot of fun things planned for this coming week. Tomorrow I have my stag! The guys and I are heading out for a fun day of shooting each other with paintball guns. Afterwards were having a big BBQ and playing some poker into the wee hours of the morning. Should be good times, and wouldn't hurt if I won some money! (I am terrible at poker so I'm counting on 'beginners luck' hehe)

Also super exciting is that friends from out of town are starting to get here early next week! We've invited a lot of our friends to come out early to spend time with us during the week and do some fun activities like river rafting, rock climbing, sailing, and whatever else we can think of.

In short, these next 3 weeks (honeymoon included) are going to be the best 3 weeks of my life! I can't wait!

Forestry Farm House Wedding, Saskatoon - Carla + Jason

I'm always honored and excited when a couple chooses me to photograph their big day! I remember meeting with Carla and Jason in a little coffee shop when I was still living back in Saskatoon. They got their drinks and sat down with me and excitedly told me about their plans for their big day. After hearing what their wedding would entail I knew I had to say yes, it sounded too perfect not too and I could see that Carla and Jason really loved each other.

Arriving at their wedding on July 16, I could see that everything went according to plan. The day was beautiful, I don't think Carla or Jason could have asked for better weather! There wasn't a cloud in the sky, and  it was nice and warm - perfect for an outdoor wedding. Carla and Jason decided to surround themselves with only the closest of friends and family that day which made for a small intimate wedding and their numbers worked out perfectly for the little Forestry Farm House.

To Carla and Jason, congratulations and thank you. Thank you so much for sharing your day with me. I hope you had the best wedding ever and are now enjoying life as Mr and Mrs  :).
