Taylor + Maddy - A rainy Fraser Valley wedding

Congratulations Taylor and Maddy!
The forecast called for rain....lots and lots of rain. Like a true optimist I went with the standard "Nah it won't rain, the weather forecast is never right". How does that saying go "When it rains it pours"? Well it was a torrential downpour for Taylor and Maddy's wedding, and it was awesome!
The day started early, meeting up with Maddy and her lovely bridesmaids at Harrison hairstyling & day spa for hair and makeup. I always love this part of a the day because its the time I get to meet all the ladies and get some fun candid photos. After everyone had their makeup and hair done we headed back to Taylor's parents house for the ceremony.
While the rain pounded down and surrounded by their loving friends and family, Maddy and Taylor said their "I do's" under a big tent in Taylor's parents backyard. It was perfect.
The rain didn't lessen at all that day, which makes taking formal photos a little more difficult. But everyone was fantastic, no one seemed to have dampened spirits and were more than glad to get a little wet during photos. When I say a "little" wet I mean A LOT wet especially when it comes to the bridal party, they were so great and were game for anything! So, armed with umbrellas and despite the rain we got some great photos.
Taylor and Maddy, it was truly an honour to photograph your big day. Thank you very much for inviting me into your hearts and home to document such a special occasion for you two. I wish you two a lifetime of happiness. All the best my friends.
